Summer camps

Stepping Stone Farms offers summer camps for kids ages 5 - 18 years old.  These popular camps fill quickly so if you don’t see a registration form on our Events page the camps are full.

Tiny Trot Camp is a great beginner horse camp for those who have little or no horse experience.  Open to kids 5 - 9 years old (5 year olds must have completed kindergarten).  Kids will get to ride every day! During their time at camp, they will learn:

• Safety and basic horse care

• Proper way to approach a horse

• Grooming, saddling, haltering and leading a horse

• Teambuilding and cooperation

• Fun crafts and projects

Junior Camp is perfect for kids who have some horse experience to help them advance to a higher level.  Open to kids ages 9 - 12 years.  They will learn to ride independently and foster more advanced riding and horsemanship skills.

Ready to Ride is offered to kids ages 13 - 18 that have had more experience with horses and structured riding lessons, including how to trot, post and two-point. In order to attend this camp, participants must have attended a previous camp and have basic horsemanship skills.
